We are in a semi rural location just outside Napier, with a Unison fibre connection and NowNZ ISP. Our ping speed to the ISP server is usually 3 to 4 ms (yes that is nit a typo, that is our normal ping! Measurement on Speedtest). The few times I have had questions the help desk has quickly responded and assisted with advice crafted to my level of understanding. I am currently on the Spark mobile broadband because when I enquired about fibre three years ago I was told that it wouldn't be available in Te Puke in the foreseeable future. Two months later the government announced the roll out that is now taking place.
Pros
Wifi broadband is certainly an improvement over the previous copper wire telephone/broadband system.
Cons
An occasional glitch or overload of the mobile spectrum.

Only been with them 5 months and after a late installation we have recently had a full outage for a week due to faulty router they supplied. Support is poor and only by email so you have to use mobile data to fix the problem at your own cost. Lots of support crossover emails and mixed messages and therefore very difficult to get anything sorted. Will be leaving at earliest opportunity once contract expires

My contract with Vodafone was running out and spent hours waiting to speak to someone. The first person you get is never the one who can do anything to help - they simply push a button and you go into another holding pattern. Finally got thru, agreed the deal and and then got an email confirming, except it wasn't what I had agreed to. Two years ago it was exactly the same frustration and messing around. I am quitting Vodafone for ever

I had time to make and eat dinner while I waited on the phone - thank god for hands free phones. The music is horrendous and I am now hearing the same loop of tracks for the 3rd time

Their staff are in another country with poor connection and poor English
