I joined spark one and half week ago with their new fibre plan. They disconnected VDSL on weekend and didn’t provide fibre connection so no internet for the weekend.
Took two hours to transfer my message to customer support and yet no solution.
Extremely poor customer support for spark customer. I will not recommend anyone to join spark and suffer similar ways. Never again.

The service was fine, but they forever changed their plans and pricing, reminding me to look around.
Pros
Always up so no reliability issues.
Service was good.
Cons
Price when compared to orders.
Terrible disconnect, I gave 30 day notice, they screwed up and disconnected immediately and it's taken days to transfer the service.

Upgraded to Fibre as part of a home bundle which includes landline & 4 x cellphones; the modem for the fibre supplied by Spark is weaker - signal does not caste widely around the dwelling like previous modem and speed not appreciably different from before upgrade. However overall price for the bundle seems fair.
Pros
One bill for all telco stuff
Cons
2 year contract
will have to purchase new modem

would've been happy to stay with Spark, only reason for moving is that we were shifting house and ADSL wasn't available there so had to look at another plan.
There's so many plans out there to choose from, picked a speedier plan than Spark was advertising for a little less cost.
Thanks Spark its been a blast

Spark Broadband Plans – Price rises and data increases
Spark, one of the big two broadband providers in New Zealand has announced a raft of changes to its broadband plans as it responds to the changing demands of a data hungry nation that New Zealand has become.  There was a press release today that announced Spark has responded to growing demand for data by increasing broadband plan allowances by 50%... however this does also mean a change to some prices.
