Orcon's aim is to bring Best Quality Internet to Kiwis. They want to offer the world's smoothest broadband experience in New Zealand.

Orcon is all about the internet and their network is optimised for fibre. That means tonnes of data, plenty of bandwidth, smart data caching technology, and low lag time. They love fast fibre, and that is why they would not dream of doing anything to slow you down like throttling or traffic managing.

They have scrapped data caps and all the plans are now unlimited. They just do not make sense in a world of fibre and 4K Netflix. They want to offer New Zealanders the best broadband possible – and innovation is the way they drive this.

Orcon knows its stuff when it comes to internet. The company was the first to unbundle the local loop, the first to launch a mass-market plug and play VoIP device, and the first to get Kiwis hooked up to ultra-fast broadband.

Absolutely fabulous service from Orcon. 24hours from application to service (ONT and modem already in place). There were issues with finding the correct address but constant communication - without a pre-scripted email - ensured these were resolved rapidly. If customer service is the mark of success, then Orcon have nailed it!

Didn't know I am just getting a ADSL line instead of fibre. Have always thought ADSL is only temporary until Fibre is connected. Should have mentioned clearly before sign up.

Did not sign up with them in the end and moved to a different provider. I had trouble through sign up as they did not process my order in a timely fashion. They sent an automatic email saying I would receive an email with my order details within 1-2 days, it's been 7 and I never received one. I called them on the 03/01 asking if we were on track to getting my order complete on the 08/01 as I will be working from home some times and need internet, I was told my order had not been progressed so they would escalate it. I then called back again on the 04/01 where I spoke to another person who said that I could not get it as the previous tenants had not disconnected their service and this needed to be done first. I said this wasn't what I was told yesterday and he said he would speak to the fibre installation company, after speaking with them and calling me back I was told that I needed a fibre line to be installed into my property before I could get anything which meant that I would not receive fibre on the date required. After this I said I was cancelling as I had been misled twice.
Funny enough my new provider confirmed there was a line in my property and that it could be completed by remote activation and they will send a router out within 24 hours for connection to be completed ready for my move in date.

Misled by two agents.
Calling the sales team takes 12 - 20 minutes to get through to anyone.
Whilst talking to the agent about my need for fibre on the 8th as I have an important role within a company which means I need net access 24/7 he laughed down the phone and said you should have read the t's and c's. ...read more

Quite surprised what an excellent installation they did, super speedy and efficient and the customer service guy was a kiwi (even better) and extremely switched on
Loving orcon had not a single issue with my fibre B.B. connection
HavenΓÇÖt checked the price in relation to the super fibre optic we are on with other providers so cost maybe...maybeee a factor . But the service and reliability is brilliant
