Slingshot Broadband

slingshot broadband nz

From the start, Slingshot has been challenging the telco industry and fighting to give New Zealand families better value broadband, supported by amazing service.

Slingshot NZ know that in the modern world, it is crucial to stay online, but they also know how confusing it might be to get online. They have worked hard to make Slingshot easy, affordable and hassle-free – because this guys know you have other important things to do and spend your time on than sorting your internet.

They are dedicated to making broadband simple, affordable, easy to use, and cover the needs of a modern family – whether they are intensely streaming videos, gaming all day, or just spending their time on Facebook.

Slingshot broadband is part of the Vocus Group of companies.

Slingshot Broadband offer ultrafast Fibre & Naked Broadband Plans for New Zealand.

They have a range of different broadband plans available. Some of their broadband plans include a home phone line whilst other broadband plans are like Naked Broadband and don't have a home telephone line.

The type of broadband connection you can get depends on your address and area. They offer all types of broadband connection, Fibre, VDSL and ADSL dependant on what is available in your broadband region.

Dont waste your time considering Slingshot as a internet provider, you may save a dollar with a good promotion but they will find the way to rip you off later on. E.g.: disconnection charges, claiming for the return of a modem that wasnt theirs, sneding out 2 wrong invoices after cancellation date was passed, taking months to return the money they have wrongly charge you, customer service is the worst of its kind!

Following slingshot taking over Stuff, I renegotiated my plan down from the $89.95 to $75/mth. The first mth was correct, then $93.95? @ mths later when I realised their mistake I emailed them to query. Got std reply next day that they intend to answer within 1 day. After 1 week I emailed again to check. After 9 days I rang, then the first lie "your call is important to us", followed shortly by the 2nd lie "an agent will be with you shortly". After 30 min I get "there is 9 callers ahead of you in the queue". Their very obvious modus operandi is to hope that at least 50% of the callers give up in frustration. However they have a DD in place that enables them to take whatever they like from my bank - and no major banks (except Kiwi) will allow a person to cancel a DD. Rock and hard place. Meanwhile still waiting on phone, missing 3 incoming calls... ...read more
