Avoid like the plague
Appaling customer service. Shark like billing practices

Speed was the main concern we have to switch over to the new service provider and again we wanted to try the fibre connection as the current one was DSL not sure if it was A or V but whichever it was speed was quite unacceptable with the amount we were paying monthly.
Haven't used the other features so cannot comment on the pros
Speed as I mentioned earlier was the main hurdle for us. As an internet subscriber all you wanted is speed and not lose connection in between.

I actively discourage people ever joining Orcon, I have never liked a retailer less.
Support/ customer service is useless or non existent, service is unreliable and patchy at best. Provided routers are seriously lacking and their infrastructure is abysmal.

Haven't had a single problem in over 3 years.
Doesn't seem to be the cheapest any longer.

No major issues with the internet connection since install. Always reliable.
Reliable, fast, trouble free

Useless when we first arranged it - we had to contact Chorus to sort out the fibre connection. Since then the signal has been variable at best and sometimes the download speed is worse than the old copper. And Orcon don't want to know.
Unlimited for $99 with a landline
Poor strength and initially problems with our house alarm

Price went up twice in the year we were with Orocn.Seems they just hike it annually.Took 1 month to get connection even though moving date and given time frame for connection. Faulty modem after 10 months-endless ph calls for support before they sent me a replacement.Had to demand it sorted before they did.stressful!then they tell me they have no record of the one i sent back and will maybe charge me for that when i ended contract.would not recommend Orcon at all.
they provide a courier bag to return their modem
Unlimited-so very slow-no good from 9-evening. Had to go on early hours of morning or late at night.Used my ph data instead to do banking.

have had nothing but issues with them since signing with them. Everything from poor customer service thru to failure to provide the service we signed up for

Normally a good fast and reasonably reliable connection
Hardly ever slows down
If you need support FORGET IT!! The left hand does not know what the right is doing.
After a 15 minute conversation with support and the status of my "fault". I am told that it would be left open so that we can commun ...read more

Orcon were unable to repair fiber "fault". Sent multiple communications stating issue ressolved -when it wasn't. "Fault" resolved by switching provider.
Terriblely unreliable naked broadband phone. Which wasn't working at least 25% of the time. A huge waste of money.
Call centre phone waiting time not too bad. Usually less than 10 mins.
Waste of money.
Multiple exit fees despite Orcon's inability to supply the service we paid for.
