Way out of date ,as far as pricing goes' ,Seem to be offering very pricey stuff

Seemed to be reliable connection

For the second time, this company cannot perform a simple move of ADSL service. I set up a move of service 2 weeks in advance. They contacted me saying everything was fine and it would be done on the 27th with no technician needed. I started getting emails and phone calls about fibre service even though I never asked for fibre. I contact them and they apologize and cancel the fibre install/service. The 27th rolls around. No internet service at the new place. I give it 2 days then begin the nightmare process of dealing with this company's support. For 3 days straight I deal with multiple random people who have no idea what is wrong with my account, nor do they know what the previous person said to me or applied to my account. Random excuses from "you have 2 accounts and 1 is interfering" to "your service says fault" to "this will be fixed within 24 hours" which is the default delay that they are told to say. Finally I call to cancel the whole service and they say that there will be a technician out on the 5th. Riiight so the 4 times they said the problem would be fixed in 24 hours was BS. Unfortunately, if the move team screws up, they have no fixes for those errors except to offer you a portable wifi pod with some free data on it until someone decides to enable the service. Been there last time, not going all the way down town again to get another wifi pod. Fortunately, there's other smaller companies out there who are hungrier, more precise and efficient. Have been with Vodafone (& TelstraClear) since ~2001. TCL used to prompt there's a better plan available now ... Vodafone don't.

Pros:

No problems with the service. It's been reliable. However I note that the plans listed in this Compare are out of date. - both with names AND also more importantly (if the compare is to be valid) the cost. My cost is under $90 yet your Compare website says it would cost $140! I was on Ultra Fast Cable 50 but now on FibreX .. for less with more speed. ...read more

They no longer proactively come to you to advise of new (better) & cheaper plans. When trying to change plans, the first caller was a technician who they got to ring because they interpreted it as "there's a problem with my current connection". He wondered why he had got it, understood my call first time and pushed it back into the system for "plan review". Sadly, still had to re-explain it to the three people over 2 days before someone finally clicked "oh, you're wanting to change your plan?!?". Then it got sorted. ...read more

Not extending my current contract.

Pros:

Internet

Cons:

- Connection drops frequently
- Speed is a joke
- Support is useless with one solution for every issue: Reboot your router.
- Moving houses entailed extending the contract and changing existing plan for a more expensive one.
- Overall is not a great deal if you are only buying broadband.

Have been with Vodafone since 2009 and through constant communication and hard work they have looked after me extremely well.

Pros:

Reliable broadband and more so than ever now, many different plans, support is readily available and much improved and very sharp customer service representatives now in place who resolve issues quickly.

Cons:

Need to watch the pricing on their plans at times but do offer very good deals if you negotiate with them. Speed to answer your call can be a bit of wait some times but has improved of late as you can request a call back and usually done very quickly. No real obvious faults! ...read more

Could do with updating there My Vodafone customer page, and making it more user friendly. More options for Internet only - I did not want a land line but VF made me have it.

Pros:

I always seem to have my connection.

Cons:

This company has caused me more grey hair than they are worth - but have pulled through in the end. Bring the customer help desk to NZ.

Signed up initially because of a discount when having both broadband and mobile plans with Vodafone. First had VDSL, then after six months switched to Fibre.

Pros:

- stable connection
- might get additional $10 discount if having Vodafone Mobile On-Account Plan

Cons:

- the speed of the connection is not promising
- takes a while to get a technician for the installation
- moving house implies extending the existing contract by one more term
- bills for VDSL are still coming after switching to Fibre (Vodafone support ppl advised to ignore them) ...read more

Was with Vodafone for 2.5 yrs, the only reason was fixed term contract with big early termination fee.

Pros:

- Never had internet connection hiccups.

Cons:

- Fixed term contract that forces you to stay.
- Speed never was even close to whatever promised
- Reaching someone in the call centre takes ~20 minutes of waiting and another 15 minutes of switching between people
- No interaction via e-mail
- Bills for the closed account are still coming after a year
