Vodafone are the second largest broadband provider in New Zealand. As one of the largest broadband providers in the country, Vodafone offer a broad range of plans with a variety of features and benefits to suit their customers – unlimited or capped plans, rural broadband plan, Fibre, VDSL or ADSL.

Vodafone offer some great value broadband plans and have a great reputation. The Vodafone Always Connected Promise applies to your home, fixed line, and broadband connection. If your home broadband stops working, the Vodafone service team will do their best to fix it straight away. If they can’t Customer Care will add enough mobile data to an eligible Vodafone mobile, so you can stay connected while they get it sorted.

Vodafone offer discounts if you bundle your mobile and broadband with them. Fridays will be your favourite day of the week with their Fantastic Friday offers and discounts, like cheap movie tickets, music and sport ticket and more. Vodafone Ninjas are available in store, online or on the phone to help with any technical questions

Pathetic customer service. Overpriced and with Vodafone TV, it was unreliable. Never honoured the original offer, and it was impossible to talk to a real human who spoke English to deal with it.

Have fibre 100/20 plan, speed incredibly slow on wifi, continually disconnects throughout the day, issue got worse at the beginning of lockdown, also had an issue with the modem, no ability to contact Vodafone by phone, took over a week to make contact and had to use complaints system, was not offered any solutions only replacement modem. that took 3 weeks to arrive then we had no phone for 4 days. Signed up to change supplier, informed Vodafone that we were changing, sent email on the date of change over, to ask were to send replacement modem and Vodafone tv boxes to, and got no response. Ten days later received a bill from Vodafone for a months usage? Again unable to contact by phone, used Vodafone live chat, where they acknowledged phone call about changing service and email sent, but claim because we had not specifically asked to cancel their services they could bill us. The customer support is weak at best, they don’t really care about the ‘little people’ They change plans, add ons etc, without consulting the customer first. Example, cancelled my Sky account (which I paid along with my Vodafone account) for no reason and without my knowledge

Apart from their dodgy attempt to brand fibre plus coax as FibreX, the worst thing about Vodafone was the way they treat their customers. It was a huge inconvenience when they unilaterally decided to stop their email services, and even more frustrating when they reneged on their promise to redirect our old address to the new one. Add that to the fact that they repeatedly failed to report their internet outages on their website, resulting in many hours wasted waiting for their help desk then trying to fix a problem at our end, when it was a known problem at their end the whole time (though not known by their help desk for some reason). ...read more
