I have been with Spark for 3 years and been very happy with them but this year they were not willing to match the deals offered by other providers.

Spark fibre was fine while there were no issues. After my initial 12 months they offered me $10.00 off the usual cost. The main problem was the modem kept crapping out every day, and as I didnt get back to them fast enough about it, they offered me a new Hyawei HG659b for half price at $100.00, as the warranty had just run out.
That was at the end of being with them for 2 years. I was paying for up to 950 down and was getting around 150 at best in a one bedroom flat with no walls in gigacity.
Pros
Hmmm, have to think on that.
Cons
Crappy modem, not interested in keeping current customers.

I've been with Spark for a long time, and had fibre for nearly three years. The speed, though not great - 10 up, 50 down, was fine for my occasional OnDemand viewing etc. But the cost kept going up, and they weren't prepared to match other offers.
Pros
Good basic reliable service. Good billing, usage information - I liked the 80% used text, and the ability to download bills etc.
Cons
high cost

Spark Broadband Plans – Price rises and data increases
Spark, one of the big two broadband providers in New Zealand has announced a raft of changes to its broadband plans as it responds to the changing demands of a data hungry nation that New Zealand has become.  There was a press release today that announced Spark has responded to growing demand for data by increasing broadband plan allowances by 50%... however this does also mean a change to some prices.
