Needs to keep up with new software like windows 10. Too expensive and not much different than the cheaper options. what about a discount bundle price for phone, mobile and broadband. Look at the UK market for how the future will look.
Speed is not bad, lots of extra stuff; antivirus, lightbox, discount tickets etc.
Expensive compared to the others. Free antivirus doesn't work with windows10. Automatic configuration app doesn't work with windows10. So unless you use yesterday's technology useless free stuff.

This was a new connection but we have had at our other premises. We decided not to use them for this new connection
The connection was reliable
You could never get them to answer the phone if we needed to talk to them. They always had to ring back (which they did) but by then you had given up what you were wanting to do

It's really not bad when it works.
Sadly, you can never count upon when that's going to be, nor how long it will work for.
A week or two after the tech comes out, or you spend 2 hours on the phone with support to arrange things seems miraculous.
You can have them call you without listening to the hold music.
When it works, it's at least average.
Disconnects. Horrible lag, and terrible latency. Buffer/load times, with random stoppages on Netflix or light box.

Intending to relocate to Kinloch near Taupo, a Spark technician recommended we try wireless broadband with 120G limit instead of unlimited data on ADSL system. At our previous address, we had Sky so 120G was adequate in his opinion. However, having cancelled Sky at the new home and using Netflix and/or internet instead,we are finding that we now require unlimited data. When we requested a switch back to ADSL, the Spark technician offered to send a Chorus rep to check that we ...read more
A few of the Spark technicians were helpful while others were not!
Insufficient broadband data for the needs of new and existing customers in the area,
Expensive having to buy 10G of data once the120G limit is exceeded: quickly!
With today's technology Chorus isn't doing the best job ...read more

Steer clear. Spark is a large organization... you get all their problems as a result. Overcharging, long support wait times with less-than-experienced support crew (pretty basic "is the modem switched on" stuff).
They are con merchants in my book - quick to get you on board but v slow to give much back. $4.95 wiring maintenance (3.95 or free elsewhere).
ummm.... they have online support chat. If you can wait.
• Drip-feed charging (lots of little add-ons which make for a big bill).
• Need to keep your eye on their billing.
• Less-than-transparent price increases.
• Messy plan structure (deals that come and go and leave you ...read more
